It’s absolutely sickening that murderers, rapists and pedophiles beat the system every day in this country, yet an inherently good person like Marion Jones gets sent to prison so some idiot on a power trip can make an example of an athlete who used performance enhancers (“Jones’ Finish ‘Time’,” Jan. 12).

Her prison space should be occupied by someone who is a danger to society.

If Jones were free, I doubt anyone would be harmed by her presence. It’s ignorant and stupid, and a shame that no one has the common sense to get it right in the 21st century.
