The Issue: A letter written by Gov. Hochul’s lawyer on Mayor Adams’ failures in addressing the migrant crisis.
Gov. Hochul is stating that the mayor is doing a bad job with the immigration crisis (“Eric gets wrath of Kath,” Aug. 17).
Hochul, look in the mirror. You’re not much better. You can’t even run the state.
You’re both clowns, and when you have two or more clowns together, what do you have? A circus. New York is one big circus.
Both of them are incompetent and too inept to run the state and the city. We need to vote these two clowns out.

Did no one in government see “Field Of Dreams”?
“Build it, and they will come,” the picture’s catchphrase, is a warning for politicians like Hochul and Mayor Adams, eager to demonstrate their compassion on the taxpayer’s dime.
The solution to the migrant disaster — short of deportation — is to cold-shoulder the huddled masses yearning for free stuff, not to encourage them with material comforts. Is that really so hard to figure out?

As I read The Post on the ineptitude of Adams and Hochul on this migrant crisis, I can only say: I’ve never seen such a pair of imbeciles, who continue to destroy the city and state — and nothing is said.
Private companies are awarded untold millions to house the illegal migrants and Tweedledum and Tweedledee are faced with the liberal dilemma of “right to shelter.”
That longstanding asinine notion is nothing more than liberal guilt that requires you to give away your money without accountability.
The freebies will be paid by hard-working taxpayers.
This liberal Democratic leadership has moved away from the policies of Mayors Michael Bloomberg and Rudy Giuliani, which created a safe, clean city.
Hochul claimed the states suggested locations for migrant shelters to the Adams administration last year. James Messerschmidt for NY PostMaybe it’s time for New Yorkers to rethink their aversion to conservative rule. Give it a shot, it definitely can’t hurt. It’s pathetic and sad how Gotham has spiraled into the dark.

It was inevitable that Hochul and Adams would be at odds over the migrant disaster.
Our city is facing financial ruin and unprecedented quality-of-life issues because of the overwhelming number of homeless immigrants flooding New York.
But as the governor and the mayor continue to square off on this issue, we must bear in mind that this is President Biden’s mess. He started it, and he will continue to keep our borders open.

Some powerful Democrats are turning on Los Angeles County DA George Gascon for his progressive policies. Brian van der Brug / Los Angeles Times via Getty ImagesThe Issue: Criticism of Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón from former supporters.
Re: “LA DA’s ‘criminal’ neglect,” Aug. 15, well-heeled Democrats who formerly supported the pro-criminal, anti-victim policies of “progressive” prosecutors like George Gascón in Los Angeles are now turning on him as their own families and businesses are being victimized.
The hypocrisy of these wealthy progressives is stunning. Apparently there was no problem when the victims of the district attorney’s ludicrous policies were low-income people.
Now that rich people are being attacked, there is a “problem” that needs to be “solved.”

Law-abiding citizens are being beaten, robbed and burglarized by waves of thugs whom these woke district attorneys refuse to prosecute or hold in jail on bail.
It’s time to end this lawlessness and give our cities back to our law-abiding citizens.
