Kudos to The Post for your support of the Atlantic Sea Island project, which will provide much-needed additional energy to the region (“An Energy Boost for New York,” May 14).

As a lifelong union member, it’s heartening to know that the project would provide 4 million hours of work for our region’s construction trades, especially in this economy.

It is also important that the energy produced at Atlantic Sea Island will be clean-burning natural gas, to help move our nation away from the economic grip of Third World dictators like Hugo Chavez.
