Big Brown’s trainers and handlers would have us all believe that he will be completely healed in time to race for the Triple Crown (“Racing’s Eyes on Big Brown,” May 27).

Even with two or three days rest and stainless steel sutures, you don’t have to be a veterinarian to know his hoof can’t heal properly in that short period of time.

It will be nothing short of criminal to make Big Brown race.

It’s the greenbacks that are talking at the race track.
