We want to make clear that we do not support “no-questions-asked benefits” for anyone claiming a 9/11-related illness (“9/11 Junk Science,” Editorial, June 29).

Peer-reviewed scientific papers and federal investigators have backed up the fact that there are thousands of first responders and members of the community who are sick because of the terrorist attacks on our country.

We believe that our nation has a moral responsibility to help these ailing heroes, and we know that The Post would want to help them, too.
