JETT TRAGEDY
The death of John Travolta’s son is the kind of tragedy that every parent fears (“I’m Sorry, Jett,” Jan. 6). However, if the boy was autistic and Travolta mindlessly adhered to the tenets of Scientology, denying the very existence of the condition, he is at least halfway culpable for his son’s death.
As culpable as any religious fanatic who refuses to let science intervene, believing that “God has a plan.”
