Our president demonstrated this nation’s willingness to punish any terrorists who attempt to strike at our country (“Justice!” Editorial, May 2).

The message is clear: If you mess with the bull, you’re going to get the horn.

Although Osama bin Laden’s death is good news, it is bittersweet. He should have suffered before dying for the pain he caused.

Now the world knows that “Never forget” aren’t empty words.

Giving him a burial at sea is too good for bin Laden and not very good for the environment — it will surely pollute the water.

As a Muslim American, I am happy that justice has been served for the thousands who lost their lives at the hands of bin Laden — and I am glad that one of the biggest enemies of my faith has met his end.

If bin Laden had anything to do with Muslims, it was giving them a bad name and tarnishing their reputation.

A setback for the world of terror, I hope this will serve as a milestone in the fight for peace.

Thank you, President Obama. You did something the Bush administration couldn’t do.

Donald Trump and other Republicans don’t have a chance of beating Obama now.

Someone should tell Obama that he’s now seen American exceptionalism firsthand in the form of 24 Navy SEALs.

I wish that those who lost their lives on 9/11 had had a front-row seat to watch bin Laden’s descent into hell.

We need a ticker-tape parade for the Navy SEALs who did the dirty deed. I would gladly march with them.

I am especially pleased that bin Laden was not taken alive, as we might have to endure Attorney General Eric Holder’s pleas for a civil trial on US soil.

I am glad that it was boots on the ground, not a drone, that got bin Laden. The last things he saw or heard were the faces and voices of American troops.

Congratulations, also, to Obama for giving it the go.

Americans are a generous and caring people. However, let this serve as a lesson to the rest of the world that we do not forget when heinous atrocities have been brought upon us.

Perhaps the cowardly liberals can tout how the terrible Bush policies are responsible for our military patriots’ eliminating this piece of terrorist garbage.

Obama and his administration had little to do with setting the stage for bin Laden’s required demise.

Thank you, George W. Bush, and those who serve our great nation.

I offer my heartfelt thanks to the men and women in the military operation that carried out America’s justice on bin Laden — and to Obama for finally giving America a reason to feel a little better again.

I pray that Mayor Bloomberg, Obama and the military will get together to offer these superheroes a parade up the Canyon of Heroes. I also hope a fund will be started for them and their families.

President Bill Clinton was very close to capturing bin Laden in 1998, which might have prevented 9/11 in the first place. Contrast that with the Republicans, who were too preoccupied with Clinton’s extramarital affairs.

While Obama was preparing for the attack on bin Laden’s compound, Republican partisans were obsessing over his birth certificate.

Does anyone else see a pattern?
