The Issue: A Minnesota man who was shot by a police officer who pulled her gun instead of her Taser.
Insanely, another black man was shot and killed by the police (“ ‘Holy sh - t, I just shot him’ ” April 13).
The police attempted to arrest him for an outstanding warrant, and while they were trying to handcuff him, he jumped into his car. Sadly, a white police officer of 26 years accidentally shot him.
We need to pray, retrain and refund the police and educate these young men. If you are arrested, let the police do their job, and you will live.
This is happening because in the summer of 2020, the Democrats and media promoted more racism and anti-police rhetoric. Police now are the enemy.
All men and women are created equal. Love your brothers and your sisters, no matter their race, color or creed. Stop listening to the fake media and politicians.

Next to a domestic-violence call, there is probably no more dangerous encounter for a police officer than a traffic stop.
The cop has no idea what he (or she) is coming up against: Is the driver armed? Is the driver intoxicated? Is the driver mentally unstable?
Look what happened to New Mexico Police Officer Darian Jarrott, who was shot to death during a traffic stop, or what happened to Suffolk County Police Officer Christopher Racioppo, who is in critical condition after he was stabbed in the leg by someone he attempted to pull over.
The lesson is simple: Whether you are black, white, Hispanic or Asian, if a cop stops you, follow the orders of the police, and you will not be hurt. The police always deserve the benefit of the doubt.

Only a fool would not know the difference between a Taser and a gun.
This was not a mistake. Police Officer Kim Potter must be charged, arrested, convicted and imprisoned for life for the murder of Daunte Wright. That is the mandatory course of action that will make a real difference.
Police officers in the United States with racist mindsets must stop taking black lives.
President Biden must take it much further and instruct his Justice Department to make immediate, historic police reform happen.

In Minnesota there is looting and shooting at a police station because a man was stopped for a traffic violation, found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest — and then decided to resist arrest.
He was shot, probably because an officer made a mistake.
Yet the mayor of the city throws the police force under the bus, before allowing an investigation to determine what really happened.
This certainly reminds me of what happened last summer in New York City, with our mayor and governor giving the protesters the right to loot and break curfew for months, all while the NYPD was handcuffed from performing its duties.
This is not true justice in any form.

So I’m to believe that a 26-year veteran of the police force suddenly forgot that she was holding her service weapon, which was outstretched in front of her?
She shouted “Taser,” then discharged her weapon into the body of an unarmed 20-year-old, killing him.
We should by no means deem this a “mistake.” These egregious actions should be labeled nothing short of murder.

There are a few bad apples in every profession, even among law enforcement, the heroes who protect us.
One of the problems is the rush to judgment. The latest Minnesota tragedy was just that — a female police officer pulled her gun instead of her Taser. But the deceased was resisting arrest.
The war on cops has caused recruitment to be at its lowest, and it hurts those who need them the most.
