The Issue: Whoopi Goldberg apologizing again for her claim that the Holocaust was “not about race.”

Just because Whoopi uses the last name “Goldberg” doesn’t mean she understands anything about the Jewish people or about the Holocaust (“Another Whoopsi, another apology,” Dec. 28).

Her statements prove that she is totally unaware of what this period in history is about. It’s time she educated herself before she speaks. It also time she went back to calling herself “Caryn Johnson.”

Regarding Whoopi Goldberg and her Holocaust comment during a London interview, which she now needs to “clarify” again — maybe she should embrace a line from Hamilton: “Talk less, smile more.”

The time has come to take “The View” off the air. Its stars need to take a class on the Holocaust.

The White House states that white nationalists are the biggest threat. Well, move on over, because “The View” has got them beat.

Where is the outrage for this anti-Semitic show? Whoopi Goldberg & Co. need to be canceled. This isn’t their first offense. They minimize the extermination of over 6 million people, brutally murdered by a fascist regime.

That anyone can take these cackling hens seriously goes to show you how stupid the public is.

Apparently Whoopi Goldberg has no built-in guidance to protect her from making moronic, offensive and singularly uneducated statements, particularly about Jews and Nazis.

Moreover, but less important, she is an uncouth loudmouth. This can be best evidenced by the quote attributed to her in your article.

That she is rolled out on a daily basis on a nationally broadcast TV show and unleashed on the public speaks loudly to how far standards of decency have declined. There’s really nothing else that one can say.

I ask every American, of every religion and nationality, to contact ABC and the other television networks to bar this ignorant, hate-filled moron from ever appearing on their network again.

Should we support freedom of speech? Yes. But agreeing with this sad, deluded, lying fraud and allowing her to spew her anti-Semitic nonsense? No.

The Issue: Reports that more than 2,000 millionaires moved out of New York after the pandemic hit.

If you think wealthy New Yorkers are fleeing because of taxes, you are mistaken (“E$cape from NY,” Dec. 28).

As happened in the late ’60s and early ’70s, they are leaving due to the deteriorating quality of life, poor schools and dreadful traffic due to bike racks, sidewalk eateries and other concessions to the bike riders.

The threat of congestion pricing is also an insult to those who drive, and they are usually the high earners. There are many reasons other than taxes.

The cure for New York’s population shrinkage is to carve out New York City as its own state and call it Old Amsterdam.

This opens the possibility of the creation of reasonable government and policies by the remaining people of the state, devoid of the radical policies generated by the majority of the population and leadership in the five boroughs.

For starters, education, business development and healthcare run by new and prudent leadership would breathe life into this state, which is on life support. Under this scenario, people would stay.
