The Issue: Whoopi Goldberg’s suspension from “The View” after saying the Holocaust was not about race.

It seems that the ignorant women of The View all need a history lesson in Holocaust studies (“Suspended & out of ‘View’ for 2 wks.,” Jan. 2).

To be reportedly “furious” that one of their own was suspended for spreading disinformation about the Holocaust is absurd.

If anyone is furious, it should be the people and families whose lives were ruined by the Nazis.

Over 6 million innocents were brutally murdered. Families were destroyed and to this day still suffer from Nazi Germany’s effort to annihilate the Jewish race.

The cast of “The View” needs a reality check and a history lesson — and while we are at it, take them off the air.

First and foremost, let’s get one thing straight: There is one race — the human race.

That said, the Nazis certainly thought that Jews (and everyone else who was non-Aryan) were a different race.

Whether you think Whoopi is being picked on for her choice of words or not, I’d have to ask her: What was your point? Why say anything like this at all? It achieves . . . what?

I surely do hope her two-week suspension becomes permanent. We don’t need anymore people like this on television.

I agree that what Goldberg said about the Holocaust cannot be ignored. However, I don’t believe she should have been suspended.

She should have had to participate in a televised forum where opposing viewpoints could be discussed.

Enough already. Suspending Whoopi Goldberg? What is this, high school? Fire her and cancel “The View.”

The panel is all about verbally trashing any opinions that it doesn’t gree with: Don’t anyone ever dare express opinions that go against the leftist panel.

Don’t fall for the hype from ABC: Whoopi has received nothing more than a two-week vacation.

The Issue: Collegiate School’s new mascot logo and its removal of religious references from its motto.

It’s fitting that the new logo for the elite Collegiate School resembles a hammer and sickle at first glance (“You mascot-a be kiddin’!” Feb. 2).

On a closer look, there is a shady character whose face is blocked by a hat pulled low. Not an upbeat, inspiring image for children. It is more like the secret seal of a dark, cave-dwelling Gothic sect.

The enlightened progressives who took years to create this master woke work must be the folks who elected Mayor Bill de Blasio twice and Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

It makes me wonder why parents who can afford $60,000 tuition would subject their children to such toxic fumes.

Collegiate School has given both God and the Dutchman the heave-ho.

So how did they replace them? Well, they united some of their elite minds to address the problem.

The 400-page document these geniuses put together proposes a new image: It looks exactly as you would imagine London’s Jack the Ripper, prowling the back streets in search of victims. That is truly inspiring.

William Fisher, Suffern

I find it perfectly fitting that the rich, privileged, overpriced and now woke Collegiate School’s new mascot is a figure hiding its identity.

It’s certainly not Diogenes searching for an honest man.
