The Issue: The Biden administration’s plans to pay migrants separated from their families at the border.

If President Biden is so comfortable paying these people illegally entering our country who got separated from their families, then let him pay them out of his own pocket, not mine (“Switch on 450G,” Nov. 5)

Had they not left their own countries, they would not have been separated from family members.

Our own hardworking American citizens, many who have lost jobs and homes, are not being compensated for their suffering. Why should these people, who have stormed our borders illegally, be compensated?

Where is the outrage from citizens for this most outrageous compensation?

It seems to me that paying the families of war vets — whose sacrifices for our country far outweigh those of people violating our immigration laws — would send a far better message as to our government’s priorities.

Or is there a sense that paying off illegals would result in more votes for Democrats? It’s political absurdity at its worst.

As every day goes by, this lame-brained idea becomes even more ludicrous.

First, Biden says there is no talk of paying illegal immigrants $450,000 as reparations for families being separated under the Trump administration, and now he is saying that it really is a good idea.

This man has lost all touch with reality, he doesn’t know what he is saying from one second to the next. More important, this is one of the most ridiculous ideas ever to come out of the mouth of a Democrat.

How can he, and the rest of his ilk, possibly justify paying this exorbitant amount of money to families who have come here illegally? The government pays less to service families who have lost a loved one in defense of this country.

He really has lost his mind and all sense of right and wrong while pandering to the extreme left of his party. He, and they, must be stopped. This payout simply must not happen. Enough is enough.

Biden was initially completely ignorant of Department of Justice negotiations to pay illegal aliens $450,000 apiece in reparations.

He called it “a garbage report” when a reporter pointed out that this was an obvious and massive incentive to more illegal immigration, but then came claims that he perhaps “had not been fully briefed” on yet another highly consequential policy.

Who is running our government? Clearly, it’s not Joe Biden.

Biden can complain all he wants to about the families separated as a consequence of their illegal immigration during the previous administration, but how many more children have been lost, abandoned, abused or surrendered to the cartels for enslavement and sex-trafficking during his tenure?

My guess is the number has been burgeoning, but don’t expect to see the Pied Piper of Pennsylvania Avenue ’fess up to it.

When questioned on Nov. 3, Biden said that reports of giving $450,000 to each illegal immigrant who was separated at the border was “garbage.” Now he says he fully agrees with it.

I guess his handlers aren’t keeping him up to date, or maybe he just doesn’t recall. Why must American taxpayers pay out their hard-earned money to those who aren’t even supposed to be here in the first place? I guess it’s a Democrat thing.

After reading about payouts to migrants who illegally crossed our border, I can only assume that the Biden administration has finally crossed the last line in the sand. How stupid can the administration be?

I suggest that the Republicans in Congress work to fix what is wrong with our immigration process, since the Democratic Party doesn’t have the guts to address it.

America, remember all of this in the upcoming elections.
