Cop chase bust
New York Attorney General Letitia James is obviously trying to score points with the “progressive” wing of the Democratic Party by indicting State Trooper Christopher Baldner for murder in the death of 11-year-old Monica Goods (“Thruway trooper car-ram slay rap,” Oct. 28).

Does anyone really think it is just a coincidence that Tish announced her plans to run against Gov. Hochul in the Democratic gubernatorial primary around the same time as the indictment?

And why is the child’s father, who initiated the high-speed chase that led to Monica’s death, not being charged?

Selfless Americans
David Harsanyi’s column (“America the Charitable,” PostScript, Oct. 24) served as a perfect counterpoint to the false and slanderous argument by President Biden, who stated on Jan. 26, “You know, we’ve bought the view that America is a zero-sum game. If you succeed, I fail. If you get ahead, I fall behind. If you get the job, I lose mine.”

Was Biden referring to himself and other politicians? Was he referring to his supporters in the multibillion-dollar Big Tech industry, who have squeezed out smaller businesses and do anything to empower themselves at the expense of others?

Most Americans are charitable people, who do not live by such a selfish credo. Shame on Biden.

Subway heroes
I want to thank the editors of The Post for keeping your readers updated on the recent increase in crime — as can be seen in the recent shooting of a robbery victim at the Union Square train station (“Subway suspect flips out,” 10/28).

I hope that Mayor de Blasio will find out a way to honor the two police officers — Elijah Pardieu and Rajandeep Singh — for saving the life of the victim by applying a tourniquet to his leg.

If it hadn’t been for Officers Singh and Pardieu, the gentleman could have died. This incident exposes the whole foolishness of the “defund the police” movement. None of the people who believe that a police-free city would be “utopia” could possibly have done what Officers Singh and Pardieu did.

Bail baloney
That a man accused of aggravated assault and strangulation against an 11-year-old girl and the 15-year-old boy who came to her defense has been freed on $7,500 bond confirms, yet again, how irrationally untethered to reality and justice our criminal justice system has become (“ ‘Kid-choke’ fiend bust,” Oct. 24).

There is no concern among Democratic legislators, City Council members or the mayor for protecting victims, even if they are children, only for the rights of perpetrators, for so-called “social justice” or other misplaced rationales.

The fabric of our peace-abiding city has been unraveling and it is so-called progressives who have been pulling the string.

Biden’s ‘wall’
President Biden is building a wall — for himself — around his mansion in Delaware (“Off-the-wall security plan,” Oct. 23).

Biden ignores the lack of wall protection on the southern border for Americans, but wants to protect himself.

I find it very hard to believe there are actually still supporters of this president — with his lack of respect for Americans.
