The Issue: The DOJ’s decision to investigate threats from parents who protest critical race theory in schools.

President Biden’s latest attempt to Balkanize is his Department of Justice’s attack on concerned and informed parents who have the audacity to challenge a school curriculum that’s permeated with race-bashing filth (“Are these domestic terrorists?” Oct. 6).

His token tough guy, Attorney General Merrick Garland, issues a war on these parents and opines on individuals being threatened with threats or violence based on their views.

Did this guy nod off for the last year and a half? He just described Black Lives Matter and Antifa. Finally holding them to account wouldn’t be good optics for this administration though.

No, instead, let’s use the full capabilities of the DOJ and FBI to bury and silence law-abiding people with valid worries about the future of their children. Way to go, Joe. More money well spent.

Gary Kaelin, Commack

The people opposed to confirming Merrick Garland for the Supreme Court were right.

This man is not fit to be a justice, and certainly not fit to be attorney general of the United States.

Imagine calling parents domestic terrorists because they’re concerned with the curriculum that is now being force fed to children, regardless of their color.

It is becoming an inescapable truth that this awful administration, and the left in general, are hell bent on tearing down the fabric of this country and the freedoms it was built on.

If you’re opposed to open borders and allowing tens of thousands unvetted, untested, unvaccinated illegal immigrants in? Shut up, put on your mask and show your vaccine papers.

If you’re a parent and you resent the indoctrination of your child and mask mandates in school? Hands up — it’s the FBI.

Outrageous doesn’t begin to cover it. Wake up, American. Before it’s too late.

Any 5-year-old can find countless YouTube videos of nutcase anti-vaxers — not the “peaceful moms” on your cover — physically and verbally harassing educators and medical personnel.

Those are, indeed, domestic terrorists who should be dealt with as harshly as the law allows.

The Justice Department and FBI, which are presumed to be neutral agencies, are threatening parents who do not want their children to be taught that their “oppressive whiteness” is evil.

Clearly, the war on moms is merely following the war on men, the war on small biz, the war on religion and especially the war on dissent.

Kudos to such brave persons as Asra Nomani for strongly protesting threats against any beliefs that are opposed to woke-ism.

America has alway been the country that millions of people wanted to migrate to. Why?

Because here we are free to express our opinions without fear of government reprisal. Here we are allowed to demonstrate and with protection from the police.

That seems to be changing somewhat. A group of mothers have been organizing and demonstrating because of their views regarding the education and safety of their children.

The FBI has been charged with investigating those “domestic terrorists.” My fellow Americans, we must stop the man in the White House and the people around him who are pulling his strings.

Most of the time, school board meetings go largely unnoticed and lightly attended. Only when popular issues arise do they peak in volume.

Now is one of these important times countrywide, and the powers that be want to silence parents.

Garland and his cronies should put their energy and focus on real criminals, not concerned parents.
