I read with great interest The Post’s article regarding the growth of the Long Island City area (“Long Shot,” April 3).

With all this building of hotels, retail and condos, what does the city, in all its infinite wisdom, do?

It closes the nearest FDNY engine company in the Dutch Kills section on 29th Street.

Nice move, Mayor Bloomberg.
