Nicole Gelinas claims that regulated apartments lose money for landlords because rents fail to cover costs (“Albany’s Rent Racket,” PostOpinion, March 23).

One solution she proposes, in addition to not renewing rent regulation, is for Gov. Cuomo and the Democrats to compel landlords to post all apartment rental prices on a public website.

Why not start with making deep property-tax cuts, which would benefit everybody — landlords, tenants and homeowners? Of course, such a measure would not benefit government and the bloated state budget our taxes feed.
