Markle: All for the op

The former Miss Markle — who gave the back of her hand to her father, her once-best friend, her prince of a husband’s relatives and gave the finger to Her Majesty the Queen — now springs only for publicity. And lawsuits.

In NYC — to make a film about themselves — she and her princelet sponged at 860 UN Plaza. No neighbors witnessed sparkle Markle hauling out the garbage. Or lumbering in and out. The freebee place belonged to lawyer Barry Bloom who once worked for Loews and the Tisches. So commoners couldn’t actually see this body she knew how to work she schlepped up and down on a freight elevator.

Me-Me-Markle’s become a specialist in that department. Nobody in England wants to see her either.

Political persuasions in the US

Thanks to Gov. Kathy Hochul for calling me to say thanks for my one-on-one interview on her. And thanks for the Hampton Sheet reprinting my item on Palm Beachers cranky about all the NYC restaurants opening there . . . Gov. Ron DeSantis burbles Florida’s one of the lowest in COVID. Reminder: It suffered over 60,000 CV deaths — 3.6 million cases — highest behind Texas and California. It’s low now because it only counts full-time residents. A New Yorker who catches it while in a Florida condo gets counted only if he/she passes on. Someone should pat DeSantis on the head and whisper: “Down, boy . . . on the paper.” . . . More Florida. Pelosi’s scratching around Naples. Forget she’s heavy-handed. Locals worry heavy-footed. Like hunting property. Like maybe it means her retirement home? Might be lousy for Naples but if it’s for hauling her behind out of Washington it’s great for America.

Odds & ends

FYI: Biggest post-CV seller? Because of masks and fie on lipstick and powder — it’s fragrance . . . And Travis Scott info: Alleged by those who’ve worked with him, for him, near him say they’ve seen and know the drug component surround is thick, dense, high, nonstop . . . White House BS is that the traditional holiday festivities might all be held in a tent on the lawn. Probably so Joe Burden doesn’t catch more fragilities than he already has.

Wartime vax

Korean War. Soldiers received a dozen vaccine shots. No complaints.

Continental Army. G. Washington: “Necessity not only authorizes but seems to require the measure, for should the disorder of smallpox infect the Army, in the natural way, and rage with its virulence, we should have more to dread from it, than from the sword of the enemy.”

Civil War. Publishers urging Union soldiers to disobey their medical orders were jailed. Printing presses shut. Lincoln: “Must I shoot a simple-minded soldier boy who deserts, while I must not touch a hair of a wiley agitator who induces him to desert?”

2021 military spokesman: “Unwilling to obey lawful mandatory vaccination order that maximizes our operational effectiveness — rather be ‘free’ than obedient — they should face the consequences.”

Everyone’s seeing doctors. One told his patient not to drink, smoke, overeat or dissipate. In other words, do nothing that could interfere with his bill.

Only in New York, kids, Only in New York.
