You should be holding the government’s feet to the fire every day about the tragedy of the public schools (“Charter Chase Fuels School Lottery Drama,” April 14).

You should be telling New Yorkers that we need to open up the voucher system so all children have the same chance as Brittany Powell and so that all mothers could be as happy as Tonya Powell.

All poor children should have a fighting chance to get out of poverty.
