In “Pulling a Fast One” (PostOpinion, Oct. 1), Sol Stern rightly identifies the sensationalism too long tolerated by educational activists as the lone “call to arms” of the education community.

No Child Left Behind is a proactive and evolving solution rightly championed in a bipartisan way. “Amazing Grace,” Jonathan Kozol’s most important work, is, in fact, a landmark exposé of inequity – though the starvation drama aimed at protesting supplemental federal education funding is transparent and contrived.
