Michael Goodwin points to President Obama’s abysmal record, noting that the change Obama has brought to America was not the one he voted for (“ ‘Change’ Not to Believe In,” Oct. 17).

I’m pleased with his revelation, and a few things struck me. Obama’s great with crowds, but not so in smaller, personal venues where trust is key. George W. Bush was the exact opposite.

Obama uses Bush as his excuse; Bush takes responsibility for his actions.

The contrast could not be more profound — or the results, for that matter.
