President Obama is disappointed that Alex Rodriguez didn’t tell the truth until after he was caught (“Alex Drops A-Bomb,” Feb. 10).

This, of course, qualifies him for a positon in Obama’s Cabinet.

I am surprised that Obama is ashamed of Rodriguez and the poor example that he has given to our children.

Does Obama not remember that he nominated and got confirmed Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, who did not pay his taxes until caught? Is Geithner a better example to our children?

Both men, at the top of their game, participated in an illegal activity, yet Obama is ashamed of one and the other he appoints to one of the highest positions in the country.

Please explain.
