THE ISSUE: The arrest of illegal immigrant Jose Carranza for the murder of three in Newark.

Do you really think those responsible for setting this guy free will lose a wink on any given night? As if bad calls by judges have never happened before (“Free To Kill,” Aug. 11).

Concerning illegal immigration and the murders in Newark, I now understand the liberal point of view: Illegal aliens do the jobs Americans don’t want to do, and commit the crimes Americans don’t want to commit.

How was this animal free to walk the streets of Newark and allegedly murder three people when he was busted twice for assault and child rape? Not to mention the fact that he is an illegal immigrant.

Where are our so-called politicians? The laws in this country are a joke. Why have them if you don’t enforce them?

Criminals get more breaks than the average, law-abiding citizen. Say, when’s the Unabomber getting out?

Do not forget to add to the massacre in Newark the recent alleged murder of Anthony Senisi by illegal alien Mejia Cinto, the murder of actress Adrienne Shelly by illegal alien Diego Pillco and hundreds of others.

Do not forget those so-called elected representatives who are fighting to make these invaders into “citizens.”

Do not forget that your tax dollars are going to illegal aliens for entitlements but not toward our bridges and sewer systems.

Carranza should have either been locked up or immediately deported as an illegal alien upon his first conviction. Yet neither happened, because of this insane, politically correct tendency to look the other way.

Subsequently, a 5-year-old girl was serially raped over a 4-year period, and three innocent college kids are dead.

When will this country wake up?

To add to this insanity, Gov. Spitzer is now developing regulations removing the requirement that local social-service agencies report illegal aliens receiving protective services. This is madness.

Again, another illegal alien murders a U.S. citizen, but this time three young and aspiring black college students are the innocent victims, while another clings to life.

The alleged perpetrator has a criminal background yet was never reported to federal immigration authorities.

We are fed up with being treated like garbage in our own country by federal, state and local authorities who refuse to honor the oath they all have taken “to defend us against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”

America belongs to its citizens, not to the politically elite and international power brokers who seem oblivious to what is going on in America.
