It’s a sad sight when a few people’s wishes — those of the so-called preservationists — are valued more than the rest of the population (“How To Kill a Hospital,” Editorial, Jan. 31).
Those who opposed construction above St. Vincent’s are the same people who have the money to afford any health care.
New York needs this hospital. Those who want to preserve the area: Move upstate — there is plenty of space.
