Peggy Noonan appears to attribute President Obama’s shortfalls to his age and inexperience while ignoring his radical leftward ideology (“Longing for Old and Wise,” PostScript, July 18).

Noonan disappointed many conservatives with her failure to grasp just what an Obama presidency would mean for the country.

Excusing this disaster in the making as simple incompetence proves that Noonan does not understand that the economic conditions we experience are not unfortunate results of failed policies.

The president and his cohorts know exactly what they are doing and are fully willing to accept the resulting problems as necessary byproducts of the path they are on.

Socialists, authoritarians and communists have always been willing to break more than a few eggs to make their omelets.
