Rudy Giuliani has the ability to do what no other Republican candidate for president since Ronald Reagan has been able to do – carry the state of New York in the general election (“Rudy Clinches,” Feb. 6).

The loss of New York’s usually reliable treasure trove of electoral votes would doom the Democrats in 2008. Joseph Paolucci

Come on, Rudy! Did you really think that the best way to sway conservative and Christian voters was a lip-lock with your current wife?

What’s next? A Snickers bar commercial with Bernie Kerik?

Rudy, here’s some humble advice: Stick to the issues, be smart and control those hormones, especially around the liberal media.

We remember who saved New York.

Anyone who is worried about Giuliani’s lack of foreign-policy experience need only look at two things: his pursuit of U.N. traffic scofflaws and his ejection of Yasser Arafat from Lincoln Center.

It seems to me that he will know what to do.

What a disgusting cover!

To allow a photograph like that to be published on the front page of major newspaper is political suicide.

I was considering voting for Giuliani, but I find that photograph to be the ultimate reflection of someone who is completely out of touch.

What a dumb thing to do. Blech!

In my mind, Giuliani’s lack of concrete foreign-policy experience is a plus.

With any other candidate, we would probably get the same old story.

It was Giuliani’s novel, no-holds-barred approach that got New York City under control.

Why not take the same approach with the whole world?

The Post should carefully weigh its political opinions.

Giuliani has had three “first” wives, which doesn’t exactly display wise judgment.

He has no international experience and has displayed poor judgment with his appointments.

He’s been out of office for five years, and hopefully it’ll stay that way.

What was Giuliani thinking about when he posed for that front-page picture?

When the voters in the Bible Belt and America’s heartland get a look at it, he can “kiss” goodbye any hopes he had for nomination.

If it’s a movie star we’re looking for, let’s vote for George Clooney.

Sen. John McCain probably broke into a song and dance routine when he saw the photo.

A picture speaks a thousand words, but, in this case, I’m afraid it’s just three: Rudy, you’re history.

When are people going to realize that Giuliani’s stewardship of Gotham following 9/11, while competent, was nothing stellar or extraordinary?

My 5-year-old son could have gone to Ground Zero or funerals and cried and hugged people.

In short, there were two New Yorks, as there will be two Americas, with Rudy in charge – one for the rich and connected and one for everyone else.

Finally, a candidate who everyone can relate to. Rudy is the people’s man.

Giuliani adds a little spice to the Republicans, while also appealing to other parties.

He has already won the title of “America’s Mayor,” and he is respected worldwide.

Go, Rudy, full steam ahead. Let the people see what happens when you are in a fully loaded campaign against Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton.

America’s ready for Rudy.

Of all the potential candidates running for president, Giuliani is the Islamic terrorists’ greatest nightmare.

While some conservatives may disagree with his position on certain domestic issues, those issues pale in comparison to the importance of protecting our country from Islamic thugs who continuously wish to do us harm.

A vote for Giuliani is a vote for keeping America strong. All Americans should welcome his candidacy.

Any man who believes it is permissible to intentionally humiliate one’s wife in public is too dangerously flawed to be president of the United States.

But, as always, the Republicans promulgate the importance of “family values” only when it suits them.
