Run, Chris, run!
The current field of Republicans running for president will not be able to win over or inspire enough independents to defeat President Obama (“Why Christie Won’t Run,” George F. Will, PostScript, Aug. 21).
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie can. If he remains reluctant, perhaps he can be convinced for the good of the country to run at least as a one-term caretaker president and then allow his vice president Marco Rubio to run for the second term.
