After driving America’s economy into the ditch, Republicans plan to get it rolling again by dismantling the car (“Gov. Takes Ax to NJ Spending,” Feb. 23).

America needs leaders who will reboot and rebuild our economy. Instead of rejecting federal stimulus money, governors like Chris Christie should put pressure on Washington to cut the military budget, restore regulations and reverse the Bush tax cuts.

Then we would see real trickle-down economics.
