Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver needs to be taught a lesson (“Ballot Bully Silver Kicks GOP Underdog,” July 25).

People should campaign in his district and write in Joan Lipp on the ballot in November. That way, she won’t have to spend a dime, and Silver cannot do anything about it. Let’s get rid of one more career politician.
