Someone should remind John Liu that the comptroller’s office is not a sweatshop, Chinese restaurant or laundromat (“King Liuy’s Rules,” Jan. 12).

I voted for Liu, and I’m really disappointed with his behavior.

I lived in Asia and saw how Asians treated their workers. This made me very hesitant in giving Liu my vote, but, in the name of diversity, I did so.

What a big mistake. Liu still has a long way to go to be assimilated in this city.
