Sorry state
In her article about the Civil War and the new book, “Brady’s Civil War,” Maureen Callahan mentions that the transcontinental telegraph helped Nebraska get statehood in 1864 in time to vote for Lincoln (“150 Years On, War Lingers,” PostScript, April 11).
Nebraska became a state in 1867. Nevada became a state in 1864.
