The new law being instituted by the DOT that could fine airlines up to $27,500 per passenger if they are held on the airport tarmac over three hours sounds like a great way to prevent that from happening in the future (“Obama Administration To Fine Airlines for Long Tarmac Delays, Dec. 21).

I would suggest tweaking it just a bit to make it better. If there is an instance where this fine is imposed, the $27,500 should paid directly to each passenger.
