Fie on 90 mystery membership whoevers who write for who cares like downtown Prague’s Penny Saver. Ready for their close-up now are almost 500 Critics Choicers anyone’s actually heard of.
Its CEO Joey Berlin: “Both honor film and TV. Same time of year, same parties, same booze. But the industry newly wants one awards event schmoozing together in one bigger Century Plaza Hotel ballroom. All the after-parties already came over to us.”
OK. Calm down. No barking. It’ll be on both TBS and the CW. Taye Diggs and Nicole Byer are set to host.
In other entertainment news, Frank DiLella’s documentary “Reopening: The Broadway Revival” was the first crew filming in the still-unfinished Civilian Hotel, which is set to be a new theater hangout. Leslie Odom Jr. and Donna Murphy came for a post-opening hang. They also shot in the Sardi’s building’s private Shubert penthouse.

Alia Shawkat, playing Madelyn Pugh, a writer on their “I Love Lucy” TV show, on Lucy: “One thing I know about her is that she was a very focused businesswoman.” And about her marriage? “Together a lot. And fighting a lot.”

Candace Bushnell, now starring in her one-woman show at the Daryl Roth Theatre: “My father, Calvin, then with Pratt & Whitney in Hartford, held the patent to the fuel cell used in the Apollo flights.
