THE ISSUE: New York’s unseasonably warm winter and the results of global climate change.

Global warming is not a conservative issue or a liberal issue – it’s a people issue (“H’wood’s Hang-up,” Bill O’Reilly, PostOpinion, Jan 5).

It’s plain to see that the weather we’ve been having recently is very unusual. It was 72 degrees in Central Park on Jan. 6. Where is the snow? Where is the cold?

Somewhere in the middle lies the truth. However, for the time being, I like to think the scientists and environmentalists are needlessly alarming us to a natural change in the earth’s temperature.

Sitting here in central Vermont, where the cold and snow can drive a person into severe depression, makes me want to embrace or welcome the era of global warming.

Maybe Ann Coulter is right when she implies that global warming is a strategy by those pesky left-wingers to create national disorder and anxiety in order to generate dollars toward their agendas.

All I know is that I can sit on the front porch in my shorts and Tee-shirt, reading The Post and enjoying this so-called global disaster.
