Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has filed to trademark the nickname “Tom Terrific.” Wow: “Tom the Twit” is more like it.

Forget about DeflateGate, the signals-stealing scandal and all the other embarrassments in Brady’s record: At least all that was about trying to win. But this is just pathetically vain, and low.

He could legitimately aim to claim other nicknames —“Touchdown Tom,” “The Pharaoh,” “Mr. Bündchen.” But he has to know that “Tom Terrific” is taken by legendary Mets Hall of Famer Tom Seaver.

Even lower to try to grab the trademark when Seaver quite famously has been diagnosed with dementia.

And for what? To use the nickname on merchandise: trading cards, posters, clothing. As if he needed more money.

Heck, he should be paying some adviser enough to stop him from pulling such an idiotic move. Instead, he’s proving Mets fan Dom D’Angelo right: “Tom Brady is an arrogant pr - - k.”

He’s the winningest QB in NFL history. But if he can’t manage more class, he deserves to go down in history as “Shady Brady.”
