It was Touro College itself that first learned of unlawful entries being made into its record database (” ‘B.S.’ Degrees $cam at Touro,” July 17).

The college has been praised by the district attorney for its cooperation and efforts to unearth these alleged wrongdoers.

It should also be noted that the unlawful entries made into the Touro database were limited in scope and number. Dr. Bernard Lander
