The Department of Sanitation should be ticketing the lazy slobs who don’t think twice about throwing their trash on the ground instead of the hard-working, tax-paying homeowner (“Pain in the Trash,” Dec. 4).

The Sanitation Department doesn’t know how to keep the city clean. The city has no ad campaigns against littering. There should be more public awareness about littering, and it should be a little bit demoralizing.

Let the slobs know that they’re disgusting and that people are watching.
