Charles Hurt’s claim that “all the televisions in the Justice Department briefing room” being tuned in to Fox News proves that “Justice finally takes the War on Terror seriously” is self-serving, ludicrous and downright loony (“White House Gets Off Its Butt This Time, May 5).

The horrific events of 9/11 could have been prevented if President George W. Bush had spent less time watching Fox News at his Texas ranch and paid closer attention to his daily presidential intelligence briefings.

Bush was too busy clearing brush and cutting taxes on the rich to pay any attention to terrorism at all.
