Unions $hare
Instead of talking about “union greed” in his July 28 column, Michael Goodwin should be saying thank you (“Union Singing Same Tune: Me, Me, Me”).
He conveniently forgets that, last year, 100 municipal labor unions agreed to health-care benefit changes, providing the city with savings of $200 million in fiscal year 2010, $200 million in fiscal year 2011, and an annual savings thereafter of $150 million.
As usual, responsible action by city unions is totally ignored.
