I appreciated Susan Edelman’s article about the baby broker attorney in New York City (“Kids Stolen From Their Mothers and Sold to New Families Looking for Answers,” Feb. 6).

I am a very seasoned adoptee from the NY Foundling. I will be 80 years old this month, and still do not have my original birth certificate.

I embarked on an incredible search journey for my birth family. I have written to numerous New York lawmakers with this simple plea: I would like my original birth certificate before my children have to sign my death certificate.
