The non-probing of radical regimes like North Korea and Iran for offenses against human rights cannot be blamed only on the pitiful United Nations (“Who’s Probing Pyongyang?” Editorial, Aug. 15).

What about our own government? If it were serious about human-rights abuses, it would threaten to de-fund that gang of despots who sit in that house of ill-repute. That’s what Congress does when it wants states to fall in line.
