As an Italian-American, I am not offended by the state lottery’s “Ba Da Bling” TV ads, but I am offended that its officials feel the need to pull the ads early and apologize for their right to artistic freedom (“Italian-Americans Rip ‘Mob’ Game,” Feb. 4).

Italian-Americans feel secure in our heritage and culture. We know the many contributions we have made to the arts and sciences. We are not defined by one simple commercial that’s meant for a quick laugh. I say, “Fuhgaddaboutit”!
