Vermont’s most famous entrepreneurs are Ben and Jerry, who run an ice cream business like a Soviet-style collective (“Barack Takes Vt.,” March 5).

If it weren’t for the cheddar, syrup and the slopes, this silly state could be subsumed by Canada and no one would notice, let alone care.
