THE ISSUE: The New York Times’ coverage of the terror plot against JFK airport’s fuel line.
“Gray Lady, Grim Agenda” (Editorial, June 5) is certainly one for the books in exposing The New York Times for what it really is.
A plot to kill thousands of Americans, an event of most urgency, was only worthy of being printed on the 37th page by the silver ghost because it loathes President Bush, who has protected us for almost six years since 9/11.
The Times’ main concern is the treatment of our prisoners at Gitmo and Abu Ghraib and the Patriot Act.
This is most incredible, for the once-most- praised journal in the world has become almost treasonous.
It is obvious that the Gray Lady and George Soros are birds of the same feather.

Once again, The Post is fearmongering, and the Times is putting this terror plot in its proper perspective.
The Post believes in the “Be afraid, be very afraid” agenda.
But why keep everyone so afraid? So that they can’t see what is really going on?
Keeping everyone in a state of fear is the definition of terrorism.

Let’s face it, the Times has become a veritable house organ of the Democratic Party and a propaganda tome for the radical left.
Its failure to cover terrorist threats in a clear and honest manner is simply because that would boost the viability of Republican candidates who are viewed as more credible on the War on Terror than their Democratic counterparts.
The discredited Times is no longer interested in reporting the truth as much as it is in promulgating its own political agenda.

The Times’ ignoring the story about the JFK plotters shows how anti-American it really is.
It wants to lull the public into thinking that the War on Terror is not a problem and that we should go about our daily business like nothing matters.
What the Times fails to grasp is that it doesn’t matter at what stage this plot was foiled, or if the men had the money or means to pull it off.
What these men have is a hatred for our country that would allow them to be recruited by the terrorists who do have the money and means.
Does the Times get it, or do I have to explain it again?

The only ones who ought to be ashamed of themselves is The Post.
Perhaps the sane and rational examination of the JFK terror “plot” by the Times is more important to New Yorkers and, indeed, all Americans than the sensationalist, right-wing, “keep them scared” news of the The Post.
Sometimes skepticism is a good and healthy thing for a democracy.

What’s with the Times’ blase attitude?
Could it be that by not taking sides in this serious life-or-death struggle with enemies of the United States, our foes will look kindly on and reward their supporters at the Paper of Record?

The Times’ reasoned coverage presents facts, such as the fact that the would-be plotters had no chance to succeed due to pipeline safeguard.
The only thing that The Post achieves with its continuous cover stories about terror and alarmist tabloid headlines is the creation of more terrorists.
You have that in common with the Bush adminstration.

Do the Democrats still feel that Muslims don’t pose a threat to America?
What are we waiting for before we deport them? A nuclear attack?
They hate us, our country and our culture. We welcomed them here with open arms, and this is what they plan against us?
Send them back, and let them continue to kill each other – it’s the only thing they seem to enjoy.
