Yes, it was a joke
Was the photo attached to Barbara Ray’s “Home of the Save” (PostScript, Dec. 26) a joke?
Sandwiched between two proud-looking parents is a slouching teenager, dressed in a sloppy shirt, with his hair all over the place. Not that I mind, but the picture appears to refute Ray’s assertion that college grads living with their parents are making a better transition to adulthood than their cohorts who beat a hasty path to independence.
Could The Post not find a studious-looking young adult who personifies Ray’s vision of a mature young person waiting for just the right opportunity while enhancing his or her training? Or were all those people out working and unavailable to sit for a photo?
