Linda Stasi doesn’t know jack about NJ Italians (“ ‘Shore’ Fire,” Dec. 8).

Sure MTV’s “Jersey Shore” is horribly insulting to the Italian culture, but unfortunately these gelled up characters truly exist and self-perpetuate this stereotype.

I know because 25 years ago I worked every summer as a waitress at the Jersey Shore to put myself through college.

The chains, the ’roids and the tans are all a dead-on representation.
