I am tired of the liberals jumping all over law enforcement for doing their job (“Philly Fan Fried With Taser,” May 4).

Mary Catherine Roper, an attorney for the American Civil Liberties Union, said she couldn’t understand why the police officer had to use a Taser to stop the fan who ran on the field at the Phillies’ game.

I believe the officer was 100% right in the way he took down the runaway fan.

She asks, “how long can [the fan] really run around out there?” My answer is: It doesn’t really matter how long; the officer had no way of knowing if the fan had a bomb strapped to him.

In the world we live in, this scenario is not so far-fetched. Bottom line: Break the law, suffer the consequences.
