Is there any season more charming than fall? Outside, sweater weather sets in as trees go ablaze with burnt orange and gold. But it’s tough to celebrate autumn inside your home without resorting to kitschy items like wax pumpkin candles, leafy paper napkins and decorative gourds. Instead, try simple, sylvan pieces with a Scandinavian feel whose allure won’t wane through the long winter.

At left, these curved wood light fixtures will look cozy in the fall and airy in the spring. West Elm Bentwood Pendants, $159.
