There’s a (relatively) cheap opportunity to be supermodel Iman’s neighbor.
David Bowie’s widow lived with the rocker at 285 Lafayette St. in Nolita until his death of liver cancer in 2016.
ImanGetty Images for Global CitizenAn alcove studio at the ritzy building with just 30 units, which transformed into a makeshift shrine for Bowie following his passing, is now on the market as a yearlong $8,800-a-month rental.
(That’s significantly less than the three other rentals currently on the market in the building — built in 1912 as the Hawley & Hoops Chocolate Factory — which are three- to four-bedroom units that range from $27,500 a month to $35,000 a month.)
This 1,040-square-foot unit comes with nearly 12-foot ceilings, custom wood working, and exposed beams and brick. The building has a shared landscaped roof deck.
