Gimme Shelter can exclusively reveal that Matt Lauer’s Hamptons beach cottage is in contract just two weeks after it went on the market.

His charming vacation home found a buyer at top speed, which frees up the NBC vet to focus on his other properties out East.

Lauer recently bought a $36 million compound from actor Richard Gere. (That property originally asked $65 million.)

Lauer’s lovely waterfront perch on Scotts Landing Road may be puny in size — a mere 1,800 square feet on ¾ of an acre — but it sported the hefty price tag of $3.95 million when it hit the market last month.

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom home boasts a cathedral-ceilinged living room with fireplace, a country kitchen and an enclosed porch.

Listing broker Susan Breitenbach, of The Corcoran Group, declined to comment.

Lauer still owns a horse farm in Water Mill — for now. We hear that spread might soon hit the market, too.
