Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.Frederick M. Brown/Getty ImagesCondé Nast bigwig Anna Wintour tried desperately several years ago to block the construction of this condo at 178 Bleecker St. because she didn’t want it to block the light over her patch of green in the MacDougal-Sullivan Gardens.
That’s a “secret garden”-like lush assemblage that’s only accessible to 22 townhouses, including Wintour’s.
The good news is that, in the end, it doesn’t.
Two condos in the building, dubbed DOLCE, are currently on the market, and they include private terraces with garden views.
A two-bedroom, fourth-floor home asks $3.26 million, while a duplex penthouse is available for $5.75 million.
Wintour has resided at 172 Sullivan St. since 1992.
Joey Brucculeri, David Dam and Robert Halperin of Citi Habitats are marketing 178 Bleecker’s units.
