Grammy Award-winning indie rock band Arcade Fire member Will Butler and his wife, Jenny Shore Butler, a choreographer and dancer, recently bought a single-family home for $1.74 million in Kensington, Brooklyn, according to city property records.

The Victorian-style home, on East Fifth Street, comes with five bedrooms and a two-car garage — which means there’s plenty of room for their young son, Alvin.

While recently renovated, the home retains its original parquet floors, columns and stained-glass windows.

A Northwestern alum, Butler recently earned a mid-career masters degree in public administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School’s to fuel his humanitarian work.

“Part of why I’m at a policy school and not an art school is because I care about context, and the context of the humanity enriches the art,” Butler, 35, said in an interview with the Harvard Gazette in advance of his graduation this past May.

Douglas Elliman’s Carolyn Cedar had the listing. Corcoran’s Kristina Leonetti repped the Butlers.
